Flute Choir
What’s better than one flute player? A whole choir of them making amazing music together! Your student will love meeting other flute players in our weekly class which meets from September - May with an additional one-week flute intensive camp in the summer.
Your student will feel included and cared for as we work on flute choir pieces with parts for all levels of study. We know that confidence grows when students have opportunities to perform, and that’s especially true in a group setting where everyone feels like they belong.
Our flute choir will have a chance to perform throughout southwestern Chicagoland area at high-profile events, including one of our area's exclusive 815 concert events, Simply Music's Winter and Spring Recitals, and a possible televised event in 2022. We wholeheartedly believe in community outreach, so our flute choir will even have an opportunity to give back by performing for seniors at a local retirement home this fall. You can enroll in classes in a few different ways.

Meet our awesome Flute Choir Director, Marissa!
Marissa graduated from Elmhurst University with her Bachelors in Music Performance and from Roosevelt University with her Masters in Music Performance. She studied both flute and piano under many world renowned musicians from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as well as Marie Tachouet (Principal Flautist of the Lyric Opera), Eugenia Moliner (Co-Founder and Flautist of the Cavatina Duo), Dr. Jennie O Brown (Founder and Flautist of Picosa), and Dr. Soyoung Kee (Solo Performer and Chair of the Piano department at Elmhurst University).
Marissa was the Principal Flautist of the Elmhurst University’s Wind Ensemble. She won the Concerto Competition as well as the Honor Recitals for both Solo and Chamber Groups. Marissa has also participated in and led many flute choirs at Elmhurst University as well as becoming one of the first students to join Elmhurst University’s New Music Ensemble.
In her free time Marissa loves to dance, go to the gym to lift or do pilates, relax on the couch with her two dogs Mini and Mia, read books (one of the biggest book nerds you will ever meet!), and game. She is always looking for new book recommendations or the newest video games leaks.

2021-22 Group Classes run from September – May.
Monthly tuition is $80 per student. We teach a scheduled number of weeks per year and spread payment for those weeks into nine easy equal payments. This makes it easier for you to budget each month! This monthly amount is not tied to the number of classes or lessons in a given month, but rather is 1/9th of the total cost for the year.
As a student who participates in at least three full months of our school year Flute Choir classes, you may enroll in a bonus one-week summer intensive camp in June for only $240 (due by June 1). The camp is $290 for students who are not part of our school year Flute Choir classes.
