We’re all in this together as Simply Music's Red Note Musical Theater Program presents “Disney’s High School Musical Jr.” This show is just what you’ve been looking for. Our youth ensemble will bop to the top and assemble this modern Disney classic from auditions to final curtain while having fun, learning, growing, making friends, gaining confidence, and all those great things that happen when students are in musicals!
So don’t stick to the status quo…getcha head in the game and join us for our first Red Note Musical Theater season…it’s the start of something new!!

Meet our awesome Red Note
Musical Director, Jennifer!
Jennifer Corp holds a State of Illinois Teaching License, a Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University,
and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music. Throughout her 20+ year
career, she has conducted and taught all levels of Choral/Vocal Music, from Kindergarten through
Professional and Amateur Adults.
Her choral and vocal experience ranges from opera to pop, and her groups have included Concert Choirs, Jazz Choirs, A capella Choirs, Show Choirs, and Madrigal and Chamber Groups. Her choirs have regularly placed in Division I with the Illinois Grade School Music Association and Illinois Music Educators Association, and placed first at regional competitions such as the Six Flags Competitions in Gurnee, IL. Her choirs have performed for television, professional sporting events, venues of all sizes, festivals, formal dinners and ceremonies, and workshops.
In addition, Jennifer has directed, produced, and choreographed musical theater productions of all ages and levels throughout the Chicago Southland, and was a founding board member of several successful theatrical groups in the area.
Jennifer loves sharing her passion for the vocal arts and watching young people discover their voice. She lives in Frankfort with her husband and daughter Gabby.

What's the schedule?
What's it about?
Disney’s High School Musical Jr centers on the blossoming relationship between Troy, a high school jock, and Gabriella, the new smart girl at school. They meet on a family vacation and become attracted to each other while singing in a karaoke competition.
Rediscovering each other at school, their relationship and their surprise decision to audition together for the school show are thwarted by the school’s current leading lady, Sharpay, and Troy and Gabriella’s well-meaning friends.
Finally, Gabriella and Troy find a way to be themselves and are rewarded with the lead roles in the school show. Full of catchy songs and exciting dance routines, this musical explores issues of friendship, first love, and acceptance.
