About Miguel

Miguel's philosophy of teaching is simple. "Create a space where students can have an education in music, through structured fun, and a confident state of mind." 

​

After playing violin for 11 years from elementary through high school, Miguel entered college determined to grow. He has since studied both performance and pedagogy across all orchestral string instruments. His teaching is rooted in the Suzuki method, and he believes everyone has the ability to be musical.

 

Miguel has served as concertmaster at Joliet Central High School and Olivet Nazarene University. He currently performs with the Joliet Symphony Orchestra and the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra.
