JOIN THE DYNAMIC MS. GRETEL ON A THEMED MUSICAL ADVENTURE FOR SUMMER 2025 WHERE YOU'LL LEARN EVERYTHING FROM SET DESIGN TO COSTUME DESIGN, VOCALS TECHNIQUES TO STAGE MOVEMENT!

What Is This Feeling? It’s the excitement of kicking off the 2025 Summer Season at Simply Music with our Wicked-themed Experience! While focusing on themes of friendship, identity, good and evil, and acceptance, participants will collaborate with peers, play drama games, learn musical numbers with choreography, and hone performance skills, all while channeling their inner Glinda or Elphaba. By the end of the week, our performers will be ready to Defy Gravity and touch audiences For Good at Simply Music's June Red Carpet event on Friday, June 13 at 5pm, where family and fan clubs will be dazzled!

Welcome to New York... or at least to Simply Music’s Taylor Swift-themed Experience! Swifties will spend an unforgettable week performing hits from all their favorite eras—from Speak Now to The Tortured Poets Department! Learning choreography, drama, and vocal techniques, your child will shine like they’re on The Best Day of their own Eras Tour. Sprinkle in some costume designing, and the week wraps up in Style with a dazzling mini-showcase for family and friends during the last part of our Thursday session. So slip on your favorite Bejeweled outfit—this experience will ensure your summer is nothing but a Love Story!

Step into the spotlight at our Pop Star Experience, where aspiring stars get the chance to perform and learn from the music of today’s most iconic artists! Featuring the chart-topping hits of artists like Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Chappell Roan, this experience is a celebration of creativity, vocal artistry, and stage presence. Participants will dive into vocal techniques inspired by Ariana’s signature riffs, explore Billie’s emotional storytelling style, embrace Dua’s dance-worthy grooves, and channel Chappell’s bold, theatrical flair. With workshops on performance, costume-designing, and choreography, this is the perfect launchpad for young artists to find their voice and shine like the stars they admire.
Our Pop Star performers will be the opening act of Simply Music’s Willy Wonka Jr. production on Saturday, August 9, at 7:00 pm.

Set sail on an unforgettable adventure with our Moana-themed Experience, where your child will sing, dance, and explore the vibrant world of Moana, Maui, Hei Hei, and Pua! Participants will learn to perform favorite songs like How Far I’ll Go and You’re Welcome while crafting Polynesian-inspired costumes that bring the islands to life. Along the way, they’ll build confidence, teamwork, and creativity through music and exciting activities. The week culminates in a special performance where your little adventurer will take the stage to showcase how far they’ve come—just like Moana discovering her true calling! This performance will be the opening act of Simply Music’s Willy Wonka Jr. production on Saturday, August 9, at 2:00 pm.

Gretel Mink Hansen, a Miami native, holds both her Bachelor's Degree in Vocal performance from The University of Miami's Frost School of Music and her Master's in Vocal Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University. Since graduating, Mrs. Hansen has led a fulfilling performance career in both opera and musical theater. She has worked for Walt Disney World, The Orlando Opera, and Chamber Opera Chicago. She has also toured Europe every year since 2013 with Chamber Opera Chicago Tours as a performing artist. Though Mrs. Hansen loves performing, she also loves teaching and has had a full studio of budding singers. Her specialty is students ages 7-13 with changing voices, which is what her graduate studies centered around, but she also loves teaching high school and adult students as well. Mrs. Hansen's philosophy in vocal studies is: "Every style can be sung with the right technique and the right attitude."
