Based on the beloved comic strip and Tony Award-winning musical, Annie KIDS is a 40-minute adaptation that brings the classic story to life for audiences of all ages. Set in 1930s New York City, it follows the adventures of Annie, a spirited orphan who never loses hope. Determined to find her parents, Annie outsmarts the scheming Miss Hannigan and discovers an unexpected family with Oliver Warbucks, Grace Farrell, and her faithful dog, Sandy. Filled with laughter, heart, and unforgettable songs, this timeless musical celebrates the power of optimism, friendship, and resilience.

All Sunday rehearsals are held at Good Shepherd Church in Frankfort. Wednesday rehearsals are either at Good Shepherd or Simply Music New Lenox, TBD.

Full Cast: 4:00 - 5:00pm on Sundays from Sep 20 - Jan 10 (no rehearsals 11/22, 12/20, 12/27)

Select cast (as called): 5:15 - 6:00pm on Wednesdays from Sep 30 - Jan 13 (no class 11/25, 12/23, 12/30)

*The first day of rehearsal (Sep 20), the director will teach all participants everything they need to know for auditions. Auditions and Callbacks will then be held Sep 21 - 23 (Time TBD). Don't worry, everyone gets a part!

What does tuition cover?
Our tuition is $335, making us one of the more reasonable children’s theater programs in the area. We’re committed to keeping musical theater accessible for families by inviting—though never requiring—parents to volunteer and by offsetting costume expenses with specialized pieces for select characters. Tuition includes all rehearsals, performances and a cast T-shirt. And of course, you’ll also benefit from the love, time, and dedication your directing team pours into every production!

Emma is a passionate performer and educator who has been involved in the arts for most of her life, performing in more than 30 musicals. She recently earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, along with a minor in Dance Performance, from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. [Learn More]
