Audrey Schmidt

Joliet: Guitar & Piano

About Audrey

Audrey began her musical journey at age 9, starting with piano before moving on to trumpet and guitar. She fell in love with jazz while playing guitar in her school’s jazz band and discovered a passion for musicals while performing trumpet in the pit orchestra. Her favorite musical, Phantom of the Opera, remains a source of inspiration.

She continued her studies in the community band and classical guitar ensemble at Joliet Junior College, drawing inspiration from artists like Wes Montgomery, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Joe Hisaishi, and The Killers.

Now a skilled guitar technician, Audrey enjoys restoring instruments and performing classical, jazz, and film music. She lives in Plainfield with her husband and two cats and is passionate about inspiring the next generation of musicians.
