Dawn Cousins
New Lenox: Piano
About Dawn

Dawn has a degree in Music Education and an Illinois Teaching Certificate. She ran a piano studio in New Lenox for over 20 years and has taught music, choir, and class piano in public schools. She's especially passionate about making music accessible for students with disabilities.
Dawn lives in New Lenox and enjoys DIY projects, thrift shopping and upcycling furniture. She has recently visited Italy, Greece and Turkey and hopes to keep adding to the list. Her music taste is all over the place—she loves Bach and Brahms, but you’ll also find Jason Aldean, Tame Impala, and Prince on her playlist.
Dawn’s favorite part of teaching is connecting with students and making music fun and meaningful for them. Her goal? To spark a lifelong love of music!
