About Dylan

Dylan is a passionate educator and musician who believes in teaching both music and the life skills
it inspires. His student-centered approach ensures each learner receives a meaningful and
personalized experience.

He is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at VanderCook College of Music and has been singing solo and in choir for over eight years. At Joliet West High School, Dylan received the National Choral Award and the Phyllis J. Bogdan Scholarship, performed with his choir at IMEC in 2025, and was nominated for the IHSMTA Awards for his role as Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden. He has also been a proud member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society for the past 4 years.

Outside of teaching, Dylan enjoys time with his musician friends and family in Joliet and adores his 7-year-old Shepherd mix, Apollo. His favorite artists include Shinedown, Post Malone, Tyler, the Creator, Laufey, and the Foo Fighters—so he’s open to almost any genre… except country.
