For the first time ever, Simply Music is offering Red Note Musical Theater programs for novices, accomplished performers, and everyone in-between! Led by an experienced and enthusiastic director, our classes help students gain confidence, develop their artistic voices, and build lasting friendships. Students will also put on a musical stage production for family and friends at the end of each Session.
What You Get Each Session
Weekly 45-minute classes from our superstar Red Note Musical Director Jennifer
An engaged, supportive community of students learning theater together helps teamwork and communication skills
Create thrilling stories, tenacious characters, and nail-biting conflicts, all the while learning performance techniques for the stage
Two school-year sessions run from Oct - Jan and Feb - May with an optional bonus 4-day performance camp in Summer 2024
Youth theater helps build self-confidence and improves school performance
Each session of Red Note Musical Theater will end with a stage production for family and friends. Everyone can attend for no additional cost!

A Musical Revue about How Bedtime Can Be a Blast!
It's time for bed - time to pick up our toys, take a bath time, brush our teeth and put our PJs on to end the day. But wait! What's that noise I hear under my bed? Where's my teddy bear? See how bedtime can really be a blast in this creative and cozy 20-minute musical play for kids in Grades K-3.

Quiet! Quiet on the set, everyone! Take your seats and prepare to be thrilled with songs and special appearances by some of Hollywood's biggest stars! This musical revue features favorite songs from the hit movies SpongeBob SquarePants, Finding Nemo, The Polar Express, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Shrek.
Meet our awesome Red Note Musical Director, Jennifer!
Jennifer Corp holds a State of Illinois Teaching License, a Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University, and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music. Throughout her 20+ year career, she has conducted and taught all levels of Choral/Vocal Music, from Kindergarten through Professional and Amateur Adults.
Her choral and vocal experience ranges from opera to pop, and her groups have included Concert Choirs, Jazz Choirs, A capella Choirs, Show Choirs, and Madrigal and Chamber Groups. Her choirs have regularly placed in Division I with the Illinois Grade School Music Association and Illinois Music Educators Association, and placed first at regional competitions such as the Six Flags Competitions in Gurnee, IL. Her choirs have performed for television, professional sporting events, venues of all sizes, festivals, formal dinners and ceremonies, and workshops.
In addition, Jennifer has directed, produced, and choreographed musical theater productions of all ages and levels throughout the Chicago Southland, and was a founding board member of several successful theatrical groups in the area.
Jennifer loves sharing her passion for the vocal arts and watching young people discover their voice. She lives in Frankfort with her husband and daughter Gabby.
